Random Pictures and Much Needed Update

Well I made it through May without a single update, this can be attributed to a couple of reasons, one a busy schedule and new job, but mainly due to the VERY dismal severe weather season 2009 has been. It however appears that may be changing as there is some hope in the long range, I am currently thinking this coming Friday and Saturday may end up being BIG TIME days. I am looking forward to getting some real chasing in. In the meantime I have been out localy a couple of times just playing around with local weak convection.

Pictures from SE NE on 6/1, it's amazing how quickly intiation can take place sometimes, it went from clear to this, to full blown storms all in less than an hour.

I was right there in position as the first storms shot up.

Some where near Techumsah, also ran into 1.25" hail, took a couple hits on the car before I bailed. I figure its only a matter of time before I "break-in" the new car, I'm just only going to let it happen if a tornado is on the line, not going to beat her up for some weak convection.
